Cool left-field, female urban alternative/hip-hop sounds…
Kilo Kish’s K+ functions not only as a mixtape but also as a living document of the collaborative process of making music. As Kish says “This is in an attempt to purposely highlight our imperfections and reject the finality of ‘the finished product’. We are all always working and making changes and my project represents this elementary idea.” To bring this concept to life, Kish designed a physical space filled with notes, drafts, and inspirations from the creative process. Kish also has shared a short video here that synthesizes her unique artistic vision and functions as an introduction to the world of K+. The end result is the carefully curated K+ mixtape which includes contributions from over 25 artists including Earl Sweatshirt, Star Slinger, Childish Gambino, CRONOS, SBTRKT, A$AP Ferg, The Internet, Flatbush Zombies, Nick Hook, Vince Staples, and more.
After spending most of my afternoon shoveling snow from the aftermath of the same storm that inspired Slakahto create this track, it felt only appropriate to post tt….
Woke up to a storm yesterday. My goal was to create at least two full instrumentals. I purchased a used Yamaha AN1X a few months ago but never really had the chance to use the sounds in that synth so today I finally got a chance to do it and most of the synth sounds are from the AN1X.

‘SoulDubtsep’ anthem, “Poppin’ Off in Atlanta” was a beast. Now signed to Epic Records (hope that doesn’t turn out to be a bad decision), here comes this ‘Remixtape’ in advance of their official debut EP coming some time next year.
