Prodigy - Gangsta Love (feat. Esther)
I know this has been out for a minute but I’m listening to the H.N.I.C. 3 album which just dropped and which, to be honest, I don’t really love. I appreciate that P is a grown, mature man now and we all know that what hip hop is lacking is real realness, songs that go beyond the one dimensional caricatures typical of the on-record personae rappers create in their music. But hearing all the love songs on this album was a bit much for me. P in love - what is this: Sobb Deep?
Anyway I mostly posted this ‘cos I love the beat. What’s that sample though?? It’s like some old soul weekender sh-t. WhoSampled was no help though, unfortunately….
